The nearest airport is in Kalamata which is the second-largest city in the Peloponnese, and it lends its name to the succulent dark olives prevalent in the region. Peloponnese cuisine is typically Greek, with an abundance of fresh, simple ingredients forming the basis of the local dishes.
Villas Location & Nearby Beaches
The Villas are situated in the small village of Riglia which is a close neighbour to Agios Nikolaos, a small fishing village that boasts a number of traditional fish restaurants. You will also find some small coffee shops, bars, supermarkets and a pharmacy. It also offers the stunning beach of Panazi which is the closest beach to the accomodation.
The village of Stoupa is also within 10 minutes drive from Elia Villas. Stoupa is famous for its golden sandy beaches and is a must for anyone who loves beach life. In the village of Stoupa, you will also find many restaurants, tavernas, bars and coffee shops as well as larger supermarkets and a pharmacy.
Agios Nikolaos is a quaint fishing village with all types of boats bobbing on the water, and the quayside tavernas serving up the catch of the day. The sandy beach of Pantazis is on the way from the villa to the village with tamarisks trees fringing it and the stunning verdant hillsides rising behind it. For the athletic the nearest beach is a 20 minute walk, or by car 5 minutes.
